We custom fabricate the brackets from 1.5" wide American steel channel and finish with an extremely durable powder coating. Each bracket mounts to the wall in several locations, hidden behind each shelf. They are extremely sturdy, easy to install and have a load capacity of over 500 lbs. These heavy duty shelf brackets mount to the wall several locations, hidden behind each shelf. (For example, a 3 shelf bracket will mount to the wall in 3 locations) An extremely sturdy design that is easy to install.
The number of brackets you use for your project will depend on the overall length of the shelves and the amount of weight you'd like them to bear (more brackets = higher weight capacity) For heavy duty shelving, such as a fully loaded bookshelf, we recommend placing brackets 24" apart or less.
*How the brackets are mounted to the wall directly impacts the load capacity. Different wall constructions require different kinds of mounting anchors. For this reason, we DO NOT include wall mounting anchors. We provide a detailed outline of our recommended wall anchors for the different constructions within the installation manual.
The shelves attached to the brackets in 2 locations on each shelf rung. We DO provide 3/4" wood screws to attach the wood shelves to the brackets.

Nice construction and finish. I feel as though the listing was accurate. We used studs for two and Sheetrock shields for the third. Finally have the wood plans finished and can say that the metal brackets are perfect - exactly what we wanted.

I ordered two brackets, both arrived exactly as I expected and as described. I messaged the seller before purchasing to ask about custom modifications and they accommodated my request with no hesitation. Communication was friendly and clear so that we were both on the same page throughout. The shelving brackets are heavy duty and seem very well made. Communication from the seller was clear. Easy to install and very sturdy after properly mounted. Finish was perfect. Everything was wrapped well for shipping. They include small screws for the bottom of the shelves (to secure to brackets), but you will need screws to mount to your type of wall. If you will be using boards less than 1.5" high (2" listed dimensions), then you'll want screw colors to match the bracket finish (you may want them to match anyway).

Absolutely love our new shelving brackets from Vault! They perfectly match our other black metal furniture and were relatively straight-forward to install. We made shelves out of Birch plywood - again, super easy to make and they look great with the brackets. Our brackets arrived over a week earlier than expected, and Andy & Brandi were great about communication. We'll definitely order from them again if we decide to add more furniture to our living room! One suggestion: When you order your shelves/brackets, also pre-order matching powder coated hardware for hanging. Our local hardware stores didn't have powder-coated black options, so you can see the hardware. Not a huge issue, but something we could have avoided if we'd ordered ahead of time.
